                                I work on Macs!

Yes, you read that correctly!

I also work on Windows PCs but I love to
work on and troubleshoot Mac problems.

I can help you with Mac Laptop or Desktop repairs as well as
home office or small business networking/hookup and installation

I can install, upgrade or reinstall any Mac OS
including the newly released Snow Leopard (10.6) OS

Hard Drive Noises?
Need a Ram Upgrade?
Video freaking out on you?

Which           one           do           you           have?

Is it locked up?

Not syncing?

Are you having trouble
getting it to snow properly?

Don't worry, I can help!

"But Todd, I have a laptop. I heard no one can work on those
and you have to send those off to Apple to get fixed."

Yes,
there are a few things that Apple needs to fix.

Surprisingly though, there is a LOT that can be fixed locally by someone who knows what they're doing instead of sending it in to Apple.

A little patience and research goes a long way when it comes to complex problems that can sometimes plague Macs.

There's even a chance that if you do have to
send it in, you'll lose your data.

I know, it's hard to believe but it's true! It's happened to me before believe it or not and I learned the hard way!!

Your data is important!

Don't send it in until someone local has verified your problem!

I can clone your internal hard disk!

OK, right now you're asking yourself,
"WHAT the heck is that and
WHY would I want to do a silly thing like that?"

Cloning a hard drive is basically making a copy of your existing
data and putting it on another hard drive. This is not just your
pictures, documents, bookmarks and all that stuff but the
ENTIRE hard drive. All of those little bits and pieces of
data that makes your system boot run like it should.

For example:

See previous section about Apple Repair and the possibility of losing data and this doesn't sound like a crazy thing after all does it?   :^)-->

You can upgrade to a faster, bigger hard drive - Most laptops come with slower hard drives to make the machine cheaper. This makes your machine run a little slower than it could. This would help your performance so you can get more done.....OK...whatever...it just makes things go faster.   :^)-->

You can create a backup recovery drive - I can clone your already working drive with all your software and apps to another drive. The result is a complete 100% backup of your current system. You can use this working drive in the case of a catostrophic failure or for emergency repairs or if you just accidentally overwrote or deleted a file. OOPS!!!!   :^)-->

You can create a Back up schedule - Show you how to easily backup your data to an external drive so that it's never lost. This is something everyone should be doing but sometimes we forget.   :^)-->

Do you need some help
with software like AppleScript,
iDVD, or even iTunes?

Need Entourage configured
to download your email?

Or do you just need someone
to sit down with you and
help you learn how to use that
awesome new Mac you just bought?

I can even configure your machine as a dual or even a triple boot machine!

As long as it's a more recent Intel based Mac and....

You own a copy of any of these versions of:

XP
Vista
Windows 7

Or a Linux distro such as:

   Suse Fedora Ubuntu

I can configure your machine so that
you can boot into almost any OS you want.

When you click on the images above, you will see a larger version.
Just click on the Back button in your browser to come back to this page.
Windows Vista running in OS X

If you don't want to reboot, I can help with setting up Windows or Linux to run INSIDE of the Mac OS like these 2 pics show.

Click the pics to see
a bigger version.

Windows 7 and XP both running in OS X

I can fix almost anything however, there are times when it might take longer than either you or I expected. I'm very loose when it comes to charging for my time. I understand that unexpected things come up and it may take longer to do the job right.

This doesn't mean that if I'm working on your computer for 4 hours I'm only going to charge you for 2, but I usually don't stick to a hard set pricing tier. Sometimes fixing means waiting, so I adjust that into my pricing as well as the fact that I like to do more than expected just to make sure everything's right.

It really depends on what the problem is. I certainly don't charge for sitting around talking about Sundays football game unless, of course, you insist. :^)

It does takes a little bit to run processes or tests and I do charge because I'm there doing the work. However, most of the time, if I know a certain task is going to take a while, I can leave and come back later or the next day if that is better for you.

I also don't charge for phone calls after the repair. Everyones got questions and I understand sometimes people want to ask.
NOTE: If you call me afterwards trying to get me to walk you through how to reconnect to your wireless connection after you spilled coffee
all over your networking equipment and fail to tell me that little tiny piece of information, you're cruisin' for a bruisin' !!!!!!
